So, I put the Leupold 3.5-10 listed above on my ultralight 308 setup, but I have lost confidence in it as it seems to lose zero easily after time in the truck. First time I assumed it was just me, but now I just had to switch last minute to a different gun before a hunt recently. Reading up on this forum it appears this isn’t uncommon. I can certainly mess around with sending it back to Leupold, but at this point I don’t think I feel comfortable returning to this line of scopes.

Anyone have good info on whether or not the Maven has good reliability data? They are both in a similar price range and both are some of the few light weight options.

My other option is just throwing an older Nikon Monarch 3 on there that is a 4-16x but weighs around 20oz.

Trijicon Huron 3-9 if you want a one inch tube and three choices in reticle in a durable scope. Nothing better in the price range, and it's much better than some more expensive scopes.

The Maven seems hit or miss. People either love it or hate it. Fella on another forum has a brand new for sale, I asked me for his honest thoughts, and he said that the glass is great, features, form, weight are great, the eye box is terrible, one of the worst he's seen, and eye relief feels short. That's why he's selling it, says it's too much trouble to get behind. Other guys on that forum seem to be just fine with them, though a couple commented on the eye relief too.
