I saw a Sangin Professional with the polar white dial on my buddies wrist yesterday.

For a quartz GMT, it looked pretty trick. I didn’t know much an about the brand, but after talking to him about it, I would absolutely consider getting one the next time they’re available.

Not many watches have truly impressed me and justify their price in my mind.. until I saw this one in Manila

I flipped mine when the prices were high a couple years ago. I won’t ever have a watch as nice, but it wasn’t my thing. Still couldn’t pass the opportunity to buy one at retail from the ad, and now retail prices are even higher on them.

I'm planning on trying out one of the grand seiko spring drive movements. The completely smooth sweep and resistance to magnetism are drawing me in. This one is +-20 secs per year.

I’ve had a couple. Really like them and movement is second to none.

They blow most autos outta the water when it comes to accuracy and their finishing is phenomenal! You will be very pleased with a grand seiko if it fits your style.

Very new and green to the whole watch thing I’ve wore a Garmin instinct for a few years but started seeing videos online of watches and kinda got the bug.

Dug out an old citizen my wife got me clear back when we were engaged 27 years ago that’d long ago stopped working.
Changed the battery and had to kinda bang it but it started working and wore it a few weeks.


I enjoyed that so picked up a Timex field style expedition and really liked it being 41mm so I’ve since picked up a Seiko 5 auto a citizen garrison eco drive. This showed up yesterday and I’m really liking it.

I know it’s Chinese but it seems like a lot of watch for the $97 I paid. On their website it’s $150. The lume on this thing is absolutely ridiculous when I hit it with a light last night before bed. Woke up for work this morning and it was still glowing dimly lol

Berny has been making watches in china for decades, they are the timex of china. Nothing wrong with them at all imo.

Use a uv flashlight and it will charge the lume even quicker and longer compared to a flashlight.

For you’re eco drives just leave em in the sun for 6-8 hours and it will last 6 months.

Ya, they are true masters of their craft with the polishing. The watch that got me into watches was a Seiko 5, so I've always had a desire for a Grand Seiko

I like the look of a "field watch" as much as anybody, but as someone who works "in the field" I can't find anything better than this. One of my coworkers wears one that he bought in 1987. It's on its second battery.

It looks good with most outfits/uniforms. It looks more professional than most other digital watches. It's cheap enough that I won't be crushed when it eventually gets tree marking paint on it or gets scratched up badly.

My Timex Ironman is a little more accurate but is a little too sporty-looking for my tastes.

If I worked indoors all day I'd go with something different. In the $200 range, I've always admired the cheap Seiko automatics and some of the Citizen Eco-Drives.
