hard to switch to a cool but less practical watch
Not to mention they last the test of time. Highly doubt in 15-20 years anyone will be wearing a current smart watch. They are planned to be destined for the landfill.Nah. I had a garmin and a marathon, and I never took the marathon off. You have to like watches to "get it" but I like a good automatic vastly more than any digital watch.
Theres some things that you can convince yourself are better about a good auto. No batteries, no charging, tritium, no electronic signature for when the skynet goes self aware, etc.
I like watches but not really interested in the super expensive ones.
I picked up a Nixon today for cheap and ordered a nato band for it. My favorite color is orange, can you tell ?

anything over $500 doesn’t really appeal to me.

Nice looking watchLong Island Watch seems to offer a lot of the “premium” features being mentioned on Orient models. Not in house movements like Orient but still a very proven one it sounds like. I’m likely buying this field watch when it’s back in stock.

I looked at those. Gadget mania. All the things those Garmins do is wild.Guess I'm a data nerd. I don't know how I could waste all that real estate space to see what time of day it is over what I learn from a Fenix.
While I agree, I decided to "downgrade" from my Garmin back to G shocks. I just wanted to disconnect. I do miss the workout and health aspects for sure and Garmin is so much bigger than the true smart watch from apple/samsung.I really like watches that have a cool history, with the military or otherwise. Preferably automatic. But practically my garmin instinct solar is way more useful the majority of the time, I can track my runs, watch my heart rate, track my sleep, and check my elevation change. It’s hard to switch to a cool but less practical watch.
looks identical to the Willard clone I have, but with a ti case. Lume is great. Bezel better than a Seiko, movement the same. Honestly it’s what Seiko used to be - cheap, durable and meant to be used. Unsure if it’s even waterproof but for the price, who cares. It’s a great watch if you don’t need the Seiko nameI have been looking at some Chinese Captain Willard homage watches. This Tandorio has a titanium case, Seiko movement and Sapphire crystal. ( Supposedly). $ 127. Does anyone know if these are decent or crap. The pictures look cool.

I was wondering the same. It's a pretty big watch so the Ti would lighten it upDo you guys think the materials are legit? Titanium and sapphire crystal?
