Let’s Talk Watches

I also have a vintage Omega, to me there's something so appealing about them. Also, even today, some decent deals can be found compared to some other vintage pieces depending on which model. The Seamaster has a great hostory, very happy to own the one below:

I picked up one of these from Aragon for $189.00 has a NH36 24 Seiko movement Tungsten bracelet and Sapphire crystal. It's no Rolex, but as an old time abalone diver I had to have it. It is my first automatic.
This one came in. Seems nice. I think the tungsten band was a mistake. It's so damn heavy. I might change it out

Hardly on the level as some of you guys, but these Timex Ironman's have been tremendous for training, hunting, and daily abuse. The first one I had lasted >10 years until the band snapped. It's still going, but lives on my weight rack. I have a couple of Fossil's that have been good to me over the years, too. The first one I picked up in 8th grade (>25 years ago) and still looks/works good.

Although thanks to you fine folks, I have a Seiko 5 headed my way now, so my answer could change soon, haha!

Those Seiko 5s look great. Post a picture when you get it

Never been a watch guy, but this definitely has my gears turning. It's hard for me to get past the feeling that wearing a watch worth more than a few hundred bucks is anything other than a status symbol which I am not interested in. The craftsmanship is definitely appealing. Reading the historical ties between Omega and NASA is also appealing to me as my grandpa worked at NASA. I could see myself picking up a used piece at the right price.

my henry archer gets as much wear time as my omego apollo 8 or my IWC portegese 42. For $600 its really well built and pretty watch. Its a better value then some watches at double to triple the price.

It is triple what the OP asked for but I feel its a better value then some of the $200 watches listed.
