Which trimmer are you guys using? I have used a lyman with the drill attachment for years, but am thinking about upgrading. I've starting looking at the Giraud, Hornady 3 in1, Henderson and also the world's finest. World's finest is by far the cheapest ( until I buy 8 of them). Anyone have any experience with any of these?

I recently purchased the Henderson trimmer after running the Frankford Arsenal case prep for years. I went with the Henderson because my hands get wrecked after trimming a couple hundred pieces on the FA.

It's funny because a lot of reviews either say they absolutely love them or they hate them. Not a whole lot of in between.

Adjustment is via a set screw against the end mill flat.
The bearing that is used as a stop against the shoulder has slop so if you move the case at all, it over cuts.

I have a giraud. Can be a pain in the fingers, but works well. And I like that it cuts off the shoulder not the full case length.

If I was buying one today I’d probably get the Hornady when it’s on sale at scheels.

I have the Hornady. Super easy to adjust, and you don't have to hold the brass with your fingers. Not super familiar with the other options, but I doubt they could be any better.

I love my Henderson but I bought it when the Hornady didn’t exist. If I was buying now I’d get the Hornady. It’s very similar in design but has several little improvements and comes with pilots for various calibers vs paying $70 for a Henderson pilot for each caliber

I have the WFT and I like it for the cost but it doesn’t have a 3-way cutter like the others so it’s way slower.

I’m also typically only reloading for one cartridge until the barrel is burned out. It’s not simple to adjust the length setting with a set screw, so if I was frequently changing that length trying to do multiple cartridges with one housing, I’d get annoyed for sure.

giraud user for years, only change was replacing his lock rings with the forester screw types. 223 is the only one that wears out my fingers but they're pretty small (cases not fingers) and there's usually a bunch of them to do.
he was always super helpful on the phone and email I hope they keep up good the service now that he's passed

Whidden adjustable lock rings should be standard equipment on a giraud. They are awesome on there.
