I've used montana decoys seemed to work, also filmed while a friend used a be the decoy, worked surprisingly well. One of the best antelope guides I know uses a white t shirt and flags them, I've never tried that. I usually try to sneak through a gully and put the decoy up then when a buck sees it I'll pull it back into the gully and wait to see if the buck comes in.... I've only been on a few antelope hunts all were successful, but many attempts in, archery goat hunting is a blast because you can chase them all day long!

Yea I have seen those Slip decoys. They do look pretty sweet. Anyone have success with them? I watched alot of videos on them and the concept seems good. Just dont know if they are successful or not with them?

I saw someone use a be the decoy hat last year and it worked suprisingly well. I only watched that one stalk and mostly because of the hat after a few jokes we couldnt believe our eyes it worked. No one bought it to use this year that i know of

There is so many things you can do with this thing. its insane. Really digging it thats why Im using it in Sept Elk Hunt. Everybit worth the 2+ lbs to pack in. for all the things it does.

Have you actually used it in the field, hunting, yet?

Nick,
I know you've probably seen plenty of propaganda regarding the SLIP System on the OTHER site...LOL. I've hunted in some of the worst country and conditions with these units over the last 3 years.

One of the greatest advantages for lopes is the ability to switch to the Moo Cow cover, in case the bucks are not responding aggressively.

Here's a video I put together last weekend with my kids that demonstrates the ease of use with the SLIP System:

Watched plenty of videos of hunts where it was used. they dont lie the system works. I guess it all depends on how you use it also. If you play it cool and not push to hard I bet you can get within 30 yards of Pronghorn. seen a few Videos of it happening already.

I am intrigued and willing to try it. Do you have links to the videos? Post em up if you do, I'd love to watch them.

All of those are Pronghorn hunts?

For some reason they are taking forever to load so I will watch them when I get home this evening.

I wonder if/when Brad & Dave at DSD will do a pronghorn decoy. I know there deer decoys look like real deer.
Even the deer think so.

Anyone tried a Heads Up Decoy? I used one for turkey's this spring and was really impressed. I will be using one for white tail and mulies as well.

I have the Pronghorn one and like it for it's simplicity. I have had bucks both shy away and take there doe's to the next county in the early season as well as have them come into the decoy but not fully commit.

Here is my take on Decoys... Any decoy out there likely WILL WORK... But, you have to find the right animal. I don't care how "good" your decoy of choice is, without a willing participant it doesn't matter. They have to want to come. Sometimes you are better off without one, sometimes you break the 80-100 yard barrier and kick yourself in the a$$ cause you left it in the truck... Every situation is different.

Well said Nick. Sometimes I feel like a genius and other times like an idiot when I use decoys.

I've been using the be the decoy system this year with limited success. The closest I've had one come off 70 yards. Of they were rutting it might be a different story. The horns on the hat ripped of after repeated removing from my pack. I just had Cabelas over night me a Montana decoy moo cow that I'll try out later this week when i go back out.
