On average 1,500-40,000 people die for every 1% increase in unemployment. YOU don’t value life or health.

So, what is your solution to this? Theoretically, you're right shave been trampled. The government has grossly overreached - provide a solution.

You gonna start a civil war? Throw of the yokes of tyranny!

LOL!

There is a great callousness with which you guys treat other people's lives. If it is real, a little sacrifice to save lives is not to great.

The way folks who talk statistics and numbers show they don't value life. We only lost "10,000" - it is less than 0.001% That's 10,000 mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, kids, grandchildren, etc. If it was one of your's then it would be diff. Folks don't talk like that if it happened in their own family. It's not a statistic then. Crazy aint it.

How are the older vets handling this? Do they feel that their sacrifices have been trampled or are they concerned for people in this time of need?

Back to your solution to running around crying that your rights have been trampled upon.

So, you gotta stay home a month and uncle sam is giving you extra money to ease the suffering if you lose your job.

Folks have a right not to be exposed to a virus by other folks. If this turns out to be a scam, there will be easy answers. Right now there isn't. Your solution of just letting people spread it is not an acceptable solution - too bad you can't see other people's health as having value.

I have to go with sasquatch on this one. I've already been called selfish for it in other posts but I truly believe that each of us is capable of making our own decisions.

We use to be capable. Sadly we’ve grown so use to others making decisions for us we’ve forgotten. Now we just watch the news and wait for instructions.

Something that needs to be looked at after this is all over is the HIPPA regulations.

Right now, per HIPPA, doctors can’t discuss specific symptoms or other medical patient treatment related to the Coronavirus.

This could be very helpful in this fight against this virus.

To specific individuals. They can discuss in generalities. And, it is HIPAA 😁

It would have been better if you had written, "ok, but we will renounce the Declaration and go home if we will lose a bunch of battles and run low on food and supplies".

If we rely on politicians to save us....god help us all!

Cuomo is letting felons out of prison....he is only concerned about grandstanding and getting offered the VP slot from Biden.

______
I believe he's in the bullpen warming up, waiting to jump in if Biden implodes. Bill

Can you squeeze a little bit more emotion into that emotional statement. Mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters die everyday, shit happens. There is risk in living a life. I will talk like that whether it’s a family member or I’m the one laying there getting ready for my ticket to be punched.
People are getting 1200 to set at home for a Month minimum. There’s a very good chance it’s going to be extended as well. How far does 1200 go. Not very far in most places.
If you are worried about contacting the virus stay your ass home. Wala you’re saved!
One piece of advice while your at home counting your 1200. Don’t research how many die everyday due to vehicle crashes, because you’ll never pull your car out of your driveway ever again. Or heart disease, cancer, etc.

Well, looks like we should be ok with drunk driving as well, guess if you get killed should have stayed off the road! If you are worried about getting hit by a drunk driver, stay off the roads!

The way we get back to normal is control the 1st wave. While doing so design a rock solid, rapid, scalable testing protocol. As first wave descends, test as many as possible. Quarantine those infected, everyone else goes back to normal. The end.

You have the right idea, but nothing on the federal or state government level will ever be described as “ rock solid, rapid, scalable”.

Why do so many "assume" that there is a "callousness with which other's lives are treated" when it is simply pointed out that the government has way over-stepped their bounds into unconstitutional measures? Why? Just because the government unconstitutionally shut down many many businesses, doesn't mean that everyone is going to run amuck wherever they please. Why would you think that?

Do you assume that every 2A supporter is going to run amuck gun's ablazing just because we point out the unconstitutional infringements that the government has imposed on all Americans? That's just weird.

Yep, they should be constantly pleading with everyone to stop driving, because mother's and father's, and sister's, and brother's, and children die every day from car crashes. How callous, cold-hearted, and uncaring those folks are that continue to drive when people are being killed on the roads every day! My goodness, that's starting to sound like the HSPCA commercials. "Just send us $19/mo so we can prevent these deaths on the road."

I just had to go pick up something from Walmart.

I dreaded having to go but it was needed.

What did I notice? WAY MORE PEOPLE THAN EVER THERE!!! All this bull **** has done was cause everyone to panic and actually put themselves at MORE RISK!!!

A large portion of these people were middle age, grossly overweight, driving the electric scooters while wearing their little mask!

Funny how that works! Stores are packed and empty with product!

Seems we were safer not being told all this bull and being scared.

Where does a person have a constitutional right to be exposed to something that could kill them cause someone else thinks their constitutional rights are more important than being safe?
I'm unaware of anywhere in the Constitution that talks about safety. No one has a right to be exposed either, or right not to be exposed in the Constitution.
On one hand we are seeing wonderfully selfless acts of kindness and charity, on the other folks screaming cause they are too selfish to make a sacrifice in a time of need.
Yes, there are many acts of kindness, selflessness and charity going on, which is WONDERFUL. No, it's not on the other hand, it's a spectrum. Some value their freedom and liberty greatly and that doesn't automatically make them selfish. It's similar to taxes and charity. Many conservatives(of course not all) give a lot to charities and rally against higher taxes to supposedly benefit those they are giving charity. Many liberals rally for higher taxes and give little or nothing for the charities they want higher taxes for. I'm generalizing. Bill

Exactly. The restricted movement orders are to slow to influx of infected to hospitals, not to actually stop the virus itself. It will continue to spread regardless of how long you try to contain people. Overwhelm the medical system and you'll have a bunch more issues to deal with.
