What kind of speed are you getting out of that 20" barrel? This rifle is a factory 6.5 PRC Tikka T3x Lite cut to 20" and threaded 9/16-24, set in a Stocky's Rokstok. I'm shooting a Silencerco Omega 36M suppressor fitted with an LS Wild cover, mounted on an Area419 Hellfire adapter. The stock is fitted with a Lumley Arms (Arctic) bottom metal and an Unknown Munitions bolt knob/handle. An SWFA 3-15x42mm gen 2 scope sits atop, mounted in UM medium rings and bubble level. I am currently using a Wilderness Systems Langlois Rhodesian Sling, but would prefer something with a non-slip shoulder pad.
I was having difficulty getting behind this rifle, until I added a Limbsaver Slip-on recoil pad to add some LOP to the stock. Looks like this stock needs to go back to UM for a spacer kit. This rifle comes fresh from the field with a "custom" ding in the objective bell and a touch of surface rust finish, after harvesting a spike bull.
I get 2735 roughly with factory 147 eldm. What kind of speed are you getting out of that 20" barrel?
They are good for the money. Good ergos, weight, and feel once you build the grip up a bit and add some texture…For those of you using a stockys Hunter VG.. thoughts? How’s the fit/finish, ergonomics, etc. Asking because their current 30% sale is tempting at the moment..

They’re not a McMillan or Manners, but they are strong. As mentioned, trigger reach is a little long. But, absolutely the best deal you’ll get on a CF stock, that does what it should do. Get you one!For those of you using a stockys Hunter VG.. thoughts? How’s the fit/finish, ergonomics, etc. Asking because their current 30% sale is tempting at the moment..
I've got a VG2 and a McMillan, strongly prefer the Stocky's. The fit/finish is not on the same level as the McMillan, but the ergos are better, especially if you send it to @Tanner first for his epoxy texture and palm swell job. Every time a buddy handles that stock they want to know where they can get one...can't be beat, let alone for the price. I hear guys complain about the trigger reach but I've got XL hands so can't comment. For those of you using a stockys Hunter VG.. thoughts? Are those UM micro height tikka rings?Just dropped mine off to lose 4" of barrel and get threads. I believe my rifle with scope is 7lbs 11oz as it is now. I'd like to get it a bit under 7 lbs. without a can. I think with losing 4" and replacing the stock with a blacktooth I can get there.
Wife just bought an Omega 300 and I just ordered a tikka 243 in lefty for my daughter so the stock may have to be a next year project.

Lefty love!bought a 7rm tikka t3x lite to harvest the action. bought a carbon six 24" barrel in 7 PRC and dropped it in a Pure Precision Altitude stock. i've done roughly the same thing (proof prefit barrels) with 300wsm, 6.5 creedmoor and 6.5 prc. pretty easy and simple conversion other than getting those damned barrels off! actually for two of these builds i just bought the unbarreled receivers.

No. The plate is actually a touch smaller in size than the stock.Did you have to trim it?
