That’s a 5.16lb 22” 300wm Tikka with a 1” pad and an Arca rail in a carbon stock.
Add your scope and mount…still a handful to shoot at 7lb.

What stock and barrel?

With shallow flutes I would guess 3-4 ozAny idea ow much weight fluting would take off on a 20 inch sporter barrel?

The 3HGR slings are excellent in every way imo. Nice to carry, durable and reasonably lightweight. The takedown model is my personal favourite of their lineup. The basic idea is so simple, and often helpful as you can tighten the sling underneath your gun when the sling is not in use. Well worth giving a shot!Nice rig! How do you like the 3HGR sling? I'm looking at the 3HGR QD Takedown for a new Sako S20 but I'm also debating other options, ideally that have similar functionality.
Thanks! I emailed the company and got a response in a few minutes on a Sunday evening (in Finland), so I ordered directly from them. I completed my .223 build and have hunted with it for a couple months now.
Tikka T3X Lite Stainless .223, barrel cut down to 18", threaded M15x1 for A Tec suppressor.
Throat extended, optimized for 75gr hpbt bullets seated long.
Tikka stainless picatinny rail
Element Optics 34mm low rings
NF Atacr 4-16x42 MIL-C
UPR stock, painted, grip tape on the handle and a fixed pic rail in front for QD Atlas bipods. Stock modified to use standard mag pattern bottom metal. Bedded with devcon steel.
Water Rifleman mag for longer COL
It has been deadly accurate on black grouse up to 360 yards and it is nice to carry. I installed an extra QD cup on the stock so I can carry the rifle on a harness if I dont need a backpack with me.
If finnish caliber requirements would allow the use of .224 bullets for bigger game this rifle would be all I'd be hauling around for sure.
These look sharp, nice job! I picked up some Krylon ultra-flat paint to give this a go. What specifically was the rough texture and matte clear you used? Was it made by Krylon?7rm veil wideland w/ Leupold vx5 3-15 boone
6.5 cm compact stock on a lightweight stainless - had the barrel cut 2", threaded and timed with a Holland break w/ Leupold vx3 4.5-14
.308 win lightweight stainless - had the barrel, bolt release, bolt shroud and bolt handle knob cerakoted w/ Leupold vx3 3.5x10
All (3) have painted stocks (used the ultra flat, then the rough texture specs then matte clear), limbsaver, talley lightweight low, Mountain Tactical; recoil lug, bottom metal, action screws, mags (not in photos), bolt handle knob (except the 7rm), bolt release & bolt shroud (except the 6.5), tikka vert grip, 2# set trigger pull, talon rubberized grip tape (need to add to the 7rm)
I got my bases covered for my species I hunt.

I just saw that the Peak 44 Blacktooth stock is available for Tikkas. Has anyone tried one yet? I have heard that the R700 model is super light.
Would have probably jumped at one but the timing is unfortunate for them because of rokstock.
I think so.These look sharp, nice job! I picked up some Krylon ultra-flat paint to give this a go. What specifically was the rough texture and matte clear you used? Was it made by Krylon?
True sub moa. I don't like to shot more than 3 shot groups... Ignorance is bliss.Finished putting together my Tikka build. Manners prs1 was cut for efr mount, bedded and installed myself. Groups are at 300 yards with 6.5 cm 24in benchmark barrel.

The m+ mag that came with it as a 6.5 creed. And a 5rd m+ mag. What mags are you using on this?
Putting together a 6 cm building right now. I have two PRC mags currently for my 6.5, and I think they would work great for the 6 cm.
