Couple questions, did you put them on the side, or on the bottom in the factory sling stud area? And did you need to back the area with any support or was there enough meat on the stock to not worry about it?

I only put one on the side of the buttstock. There isn’t much meat, but I drilled and tapped what wall thickness was there and put a little epoxy on the threads. I was just experimenting and tinkering and shortly after that pretty much got away from slings and went to using a quick release from a pack. Afraid I can’t give you any idea as to how well it would hold up over time.

Thanks. I’ll figure something out. Never used QDs before but I just got an S20 with them and seems like a good way to still have a sling attachment for the whitetail woods but get the pesky sling stud off the bottom of my forend.

PVA sale, I ordered a tikka prefit, good deal, 588 out the door.

I was seconds from a 6br barrel for my match gun but swapped to a 6 creed at the last minute. Too much h4350 and I already have most reloading stuff, plus mags. This will be my first 6mm for match use.

I think I have a set of these in my desk if you want to try them. I did have them in a factory t3 stock at one point.

How does the 280AI shoot? Proof barrel? I’m putting one together as we speak. I have 162 Eldx and 168 Berger Vldh’s I’m going to try..

Seems to be ok. Had to restart load dev with a different powder so the jury is kinda still out.

Just received my Tikka build from Mike at Hell's Canyon Armory, chambered in 300 WSM. I'm really impressed with how it turned out. My suppressor will hopefully be approved any day now. Looking forward to load development and rifle season.
