What’s that little beauty weigh? I’m thinking mine will be setup very similar only with the factory stock.

Finally got the chance to put everything together on my T3X '06. B&C Medalist, Nightforce SHV 3-10x42, MT Raptor scope mount, MT bottom metal. Fit and finish looks great on everything.

One question for the Tikka guys. Went to chamber a few rounds just to check function, and they were super tight in the chamber. Several rounds of factory Remington ammo had marks like these on the case head after chambering. Rifle has zero rounds through it. Sent a bore brush into the chamber to see if it was factory grease or something- didn't come out with much. This normal?

Well, my build is mostly done. I say mostly because I currently have it in a B&C stock while I wait for the Manners EH1TK stock that I ordered 4 months ago. Still a bit of a wait, I suppose.

Here are the specs:
Tikka T3 donor action. Was a 270WSM.
Original bolt fluted and coated by boltfluter
Mountain Tactical outdoorsman bolt handle
Oregon Mountain bolt shroud
Oregon Mountain long action bolt stop
Mountain Tactical bottom metal
Mountain Tactical LA mag
Bell and Carlson M24 stock (will be replaced by said Manners EH1TK some day)
M-Carbo trigger spring in the original trigger
Preferred Barrel Blank 1-9" twist, Light Palma contour, finished at 21.5", spiral fluted, and muzzle threaded 5/8-24
Salmon River Solutions SS-Pro 4 brake (will be removed when my suppressor for this rifle gets out of jail)
Mountain Tactical Raptor mount (0 MOA, medium)
Tract Toric UHD 2.5-15X44 FFP mrad/mrad scope (non-illuminated)

223 cut to 20" with a TBAC Ultra 7. Pulled it out of the KRG Bravo and back into a factory T3X stock with a vertical grip to match my 30-06 for position practice prior to elk season.

SWFA 10x in a pair of Sportsmatch rings.

Also upgraded to the Waters 6-rd mags so I can use longer bullets and the Varget I already had on hand.

Mountain Tactical. The scope is mounted pretty far back now because I had the barreled action in a stock with a 2” longer lop.

Was looking at getting almost the same barrel from preferred barrel blanks but going back and forth between different contours. How do you like the light Palma?

It is a bit heavier than I was hoping for but it was the lightest profile I could get in the .338 caliber for the Tikka prefits. If I could have, I would have gone with the .750 taperless profile.

Overall, I am happy with it. The brake mounted up nicely, and I threaded one of my .30 cal cans on just to see and it also threaded on and snugged up just right.
