Here's mine. I need to get it out and exercise it some. What's funny here is that ever since I bought it I've thought the wood was nothing special. But in that light the grain just pops.View attachment 633967
What rings did you use to get the scope low enough? I tried the mediums that came with when I bought it, but it was far too high to be usable.

I believe they are the factory mediums and that's a Leupold 3-9x40. It's low enough that the rear iron has to be folded down and can't flip up without running into the bell. Head position is... not horrible. I'm not off the comb, but not really down hard on it either, so I can see your point. I am ashamed to admit I have only put 5 rounds through it.

When I get more experience with it, if the scope height is a problem I'll get some low rings and go with a 1.5-5.

It's legal for deer in Iowa. We have a requirement that the bullet be above .35 and below .50. So it's made to be a gun used in a box blind. It's a little heavy, but not crazy, M24 profile.
It would make a great gun for brown bears.

Don't tempt me with a good time. That's up there on my bucket list. I fully acknowledge it is overkill for deer, but ballistics for the 375 appealed to me more than a 35. My other deer gun is a smokeless muzzleloader that slings 300gn bullets at 3050fps. Seem to be against the grain for Rokslide's 223/tmk trend, but we have some pretty odd deer laws.

That's awesome! That's really too fast for that bullet, but hell it will definitely make a mess of something!
Agreed. I wanted to try a lighter bullet with the suppressor on to reduce recoil. If I shoot anything it will be hogs. Have some 235 speers to try also.

definitely tames it enough to make it enjoyable to shoot

Great to hear! Just scooped this used Gunwerks Skuhl 375 Ruger off Gunbroker and had it topped with a NF NXS 2.5-10 and added the Raptor can. Haven’t shot it yet but hope to get it dialed in the next couple of weeks and see it really eat in April when I go to Africa.

Ran some 200gr sierra FNs at 3200fps on Sunday. Recoil was pretty snappy

I run the 235 as my do all .. I basically have it at 2600 fps. Easily beats my 358 or 3006 with heavy bullets. I kill a bunch of deer with that load.

The 235s at 2600 sound pleasant to shoot. How do they do on game at those velocities? I’m sure it will take down anything just wondering if the bullet expands on smaller stuff.
