Not sure about any addiction, but my wife and I enjoy hunting them quite a bit.

I shot my first pronghorn in 1985 and I didn't keep horns off of most of my earlier ones. I killed my 35th buck this year. My wife started hunting them in 1995 and has killed 22 bucks. I shot a lot of does in the past as well, but haven't shot a doe since 2008 and probably never will again.

I hope to have a collection of heads and memories like that in another 30 years. I've started putting the year and state on the back to help remember each hunt. My wife has points in several states and will hopefully start joining me in the next couple years.

Thanks for sharing.

Perfect...lots to like about hunting pronghorn. Good weather usually, lots of sightings, and like you say, great eating as well.

Eastern WY. Never saw an antelope water in three days, water standing everywhere. Watched this one bed a mile and half away. Made a big loop and came from above him, getting within 80 yds before he saw me. His curiosity closed the distance to 40. View attachment 116788

At almost the same time my buddy found this one in a bag field with round bales. Every time he could get a bale between him and the goat he would run up to it. Bale hopping, he got within 50 yds and closed the deal. Good thing there was a lot of hay this year and bales were close together. It took about 4-5 hundred yards dashes to get within range.View attachment 116788View attachment 116789

Mine should be in low to mid 70's and my friends is in the upper 70's. Will update when we know for reference. Saw tons of mature bucks this year, but the wet summer made spot n stalk the only game in town. First s n s goat for me and first goat ever for my friend.

Edit:. Boy I was way off! Mine was 13 1/4" horns 66 7/8. The other was 14" and 71 7/8". But I think p&y should give you spot n stalk credit,. 1/8" per Mile walked, or a half inch for each blown stalk.😁

These are beautiful animals! It makes me miss WY, so much fun to antelope hunt down there.

First post so figured better show a picture:) Anyway, here is my 2019 Wyoming buck. Really liked the look of this guy, his horns sort of go forward which is what i was looking for. Shot was 160ish downhill from the top of the hill you see to the right side of me. Rifle used is a Tikka Superlite 7MM-08 shooting factory 120 grain BT's. Seemed to work just fine.
