Yes but according to so many light weight bow shooters, bow weight isn’t important. Not to mention how dangerous it is for your shoulder. How convenient.70lbs at 31.5" is some serious juice!

What’s the penetration story of that grown up setup?65 lbs draw with 1120 grain arrows
What was arrow and bow weight?18 yard shot. Down in 20 seconds (on video). Clipped near side rib and poked through the off side rib. Used a Grizzly 300 grain single edge broadhead with steel adapters and brass inserts. Guess that doesn't really qualify for a real pass through ..........
Nice bears! And welcome to RS.Just joined the group .!! I got nothing impressive lol
Bear in the pack was my First Longbow (trad) kill . It was a spot stalk hunt , i stalked him for over a hour and took my shot at 7 yrds . Smaller bear and i didn't get a good picture because our water taxi was showing any minute and i had to make quick work of it on the side of a mountain.
Second bear was my second Longbow kill a year later at 10yrds Spot and Stalk .
Both bears took with a 66" Black widow LAG 60#@ 27.5" . Douglas Firs arrow, 300gr meat head and total weight of 746 grs
I have been slacking the last couple years , but this year I'm back on it !!! Started getting back in shape , Got a new hunting buddy (Apache) who is a hunting machine !!!! He points , retrieves and blood trails . When at heel he naturally stalks when i do , and if i kneel he goes into down !!!
We are hitting the mountains and swamps this year !!! Black Bear , Moose and Brown bears are for sure on the agenda!!!
That's a heck of a start!
