Hey all starting load development on a 25-7prc. Was wondering what neck bushing everybody is using, wto has a few different numbers on their site. As well as powders/charge weight that yall have had luck with.

WTO sells ready to rock ADG. That would be my go to if starting over. Wasn't an option at the time so I had to neck down 7prc.

I personally did 3 steps. I had the bushings and I hate ruining brass.

.298
.288
.281

bring it back up with a .2560 mandrel. Didnt lose a single piece.

n570 is gonna be your speed king. Start around 66.5gr and work up.

I bought one box of the already sized down and head stamped brass. Their site had some variance on the neck bushing size but called today and they confirmed .281. Going to start at 66gr then 67gr n570 with the 134gr eldm

Shot the first rounds out of the 22” pbb barrel today with the 134 eldm
66gr n570 average 2976fps
67gr n570 average 3020 fps

Hoping to get a bit more speed but the bearing surface of the eldm always makes them slow!

I just use 7 prc brass, run it through a 25 wssm neck sizing die (only for the first loading on virgin brass). second step: single pass through a hornady 7 prc bushing die with a .281 bushing. Trim to length as needed and use a 25 wssm seating die basically backed all the way out with a vld stem. The WSSM has the same shoulder angle and body diameter as the 25x7 prc so no issues there. Never had a single issue with crushing a case as long as i run it through the 25 wssm neck die first, skipped that step once and crushed a neck.

N570 will get you all the velocity, 133s at 3300 without pressure, even with hornady brass, but N560 gives outstanding accuracy, at least in my personal rig. you will lose about 100fps with it though. current loading is 62.5 gr n560 at 3175 with a 133 berger.

Did some more load development today got more speed but the bearing surface on the 134eldm just makes them not scorching fast.

25-7prc 22” barrel

68gr n570 3072fps
69gr n570 3110 fps this yielded a 5 shot group under .75”
69.3gr n570 3128fps

Looking forward to this. Just shipped my barrel and action to my smith. 20” Carbon6 and Med AntiX. I’ll share my results when I get it back in 4-6 weeks.
