Love Whitetail Hunting but always wanted to pursue Elk. Purchased a Nomad and will be gathering gear over the next several months to be humbled by the Rockies. So much to learn about Mountain Hunting both terminology and technique, Probably will not make it to the West this year but would like to do some hiking/camping in the hills of the Wayne National Forest here in Ohio to familarize with the new equipment. Awesome site to say the Least

Been living in Anchorage, Alaska for almost 10 years. I packed my bags and moved up as soon as I graduated college.
I'm a project manager and estimator for a construction company.
Been married for going on six years and have two kids under four.
I'm your pretty standard Alaskan; a little snowboarding and snowmaching in winter, spring black bear hunting, rainbow and salmon fishing all summer, and lots of hiking. Fall hunting seems to vary every year depending if I draw any tags, what I think my work schedule may be, or if my hunting buddies have any specific hunts they want to do. I've chased everything from sheep and goat to muskox and bison. Over the past few years I've been drawn more to the mountain hunts and will probably focus on sheep again this year.
