I checked out the podcast to listen in about the suppressors and heard that too. I thought they went on to explain that Capital can do it because they have FFL's in all states but Unknown does not. I have always used a local dealer for transfers but the idea of being able to have it shipped right to the house does seem nice.Yeah I've heard of that, I thought it was interesting when unknown said in their podcast that they don't feel comfortable doing business that way, yet capitol appears to stock reapers and OG 6.5.
I've done quite a bit of business on silencershop and don't do anything in person until I go to the dealer to pick up the suppressor. The more purchasing options the better!

This doesn’t answer the question of why they can’t ship them to your door in Idaho?Bingo
I would say that it has to do with the CLEO notification. When I checked out about the Capital process it seemed that was the delay compared to local pickup. Big assumption here and don't know all the ins/outs of FFL licensing but I would think that it is a liability that doesn't make sense for them to take on considering any issues the ATF yanks their FFL and then they aren't manufacturing anymore and out of business. This doesn’t answer the question of why they can’t ship them to your door in Idaho?
Email sent. Consider them spammed. I'm already set up with SS and like using their single shot trusts. If you're like me and you want to buy unknown suppressors the easy way then let silencershop hear about it!
Liability is weird too, because there are two proven businesses doing it all across the country (capital and silencer central) with no issue, so just weird nobody else seems to want to do it. Everybody is almost all hush about it like they don’t want to get the guys doing it in trouble. Ha. At times it feels more like an archery shop again where manufactures are making sure their dealers don’t get cut out and won’t sell you product direct.
Maybe I’m naive, but if there was a problem sending them in state with the ATF, don’t you think Capital and Silencer Central would have gotten in trouble by now?
I imagine it is just more work, and they just aren’t willing to do it, which is all well. It’d just be nice if they just said it rather than beating around the bush.
Makes sense again. Not really asking about going nationwide. Doesn’t make sense for a small shop. I get that. There is nothing illegal about what Capital or Silencer Central does, but it's highly expensive and complex. You need FFL's all over the country, compliance staff, regulate state by state compliance, CLEO notifications, shipping compliance (signature required) along with a lot of complex systems. It's a host of problems for a normal suppressor company. Money, time, and complexity. Things that cause a ton of friction and overhead for a small to medium suppressor shop.
Suppressor companies focus on making suppressors. Distributors focus on distributing.
