Turkey camp last week.
Two of these guys have been to this area for 30 years and never seen this.We were just having a beer at lunch and spotted what looked like a wind sock about 3.5 miles away while messing around glassing.
We decided to take the hour ride up and it was this flag.It was ripped and hanging on just at the top so we repaired with zip ties and snapped a pic.We plan to take a new flag next year.
Made the trip worth it.

A past moose camp from about fifteen years ago in a remote back valley with challenging access that turned back others. One of my favorite past moose camps for five years. We were grateful to have taken a bull nearly every year, and each of us three guys also took a nice interior grizzly during those years.

Our remote camp on a DIY grizzly hunt in SW Alaska...

Looking back towards camp from the west (tents barely visible at center of the image)...

Our tundra taxi's coming/going, and a "bear active" drainage creek basin behind camp...

Lots of sows and cubs on that trip, but no shooter boar...still a truly great adventure!
