Let see your best camp photos!

I have the same tent and it sure can take a beating and keep you dry and warm. My son and I will be using it next month in the middle of nowhere AZ camping and varmint hunting.

Good idea on the extra awning pole. Using the awning is sometimes more trouble it's worth, but this helps with that.

I have that same tent and it's great for base camp stuff. I always pitch the awning with one side much lower than the other, typically the non door side being the lower side. That way it's still up high enough to access the door without too much trouble but water will run off of it away from the door and not pool in the awning. It's tough material but I'd still be hesitant to use a stick to prop up the middle as you did.

I'm not 5' tall so I like to have a little head room and for what it's worth, there is a rag under that stick, and I will continue using it just like that because it worked great, and it shed the water perfectly.

For example: You could place your hankie that you have around your neck in your avatar on top of the stick, so it doesn't poke through the material.

AZ deer camp this December.

I'll play that game. North Carolina state park campground. Heated with hot showers in November.
I'll send beer to the first knucklehead to ID the location.

We staked 20 acres in the middle of a kazillion acres of public remote land a few years back. Now have our log cabin set up.
Near the base of Mt Denali . I fly out for moose hunting season. Lots of wolves around. I like to play with trapping a bit as we usually have a few lynx around also.
I called this 58" non typical in for our son. Man was that fun.

That's pretty awesome. How remote is it? I'm trying to imagine the amount of work and coordination it takes to get all the materials there.
