Leopold vx5 3-15

Caveat emptor

max yardage wasn’t the right wording to use my bad . Just looking to see how people like it and there experiences shooting it out far . Tracking, holding zero etc. I’ve got a brand new one in the box and trying to decide if I want to use it on a new build or if I should go a different route

My experience is that it is a scope with a lot of potential that fails in execution.

Lost the seals on mine within a couple months of use. Not to mention all the problems you'll read about here with zero retention and durability.

Leupold fixed it (had to pay to ship it to them) and I sold it immediately.

I have several Leupold VX6s. They had been solid until I randomly had a scope go blurry after firing a shot a few weeks ago. They did replace the issue quickly under warranty, but my confidence in them is shaken a bit.

I've had one of those for years now. Have a 600yd range nearby, typically I'll dial it throughout the various distances out to 600 and back. It always impresses me! A couple of bull elk and a few deer can't argue with the results.

Mind has been great and I’d buy it again. But i only shoot to 500 yards regularly. Naysayers say what they like, but I did drop my rifle 16 feet out of a tree with no loss of zero at all.
