leupold has never been known for 'fine technology'.... yardage etched turrets over trash erectors is hardly cutting edge. But for someone that don't shoot much, you can 'get by' with one.... for a little while.

But use a piece of tape with yardage or and app and you’re now good to go!

Fact is millions of folks successfully use Leupold and other “failed” brands to kill animals and shoot targets every year despite WKRs disdain for them.

Most hunters are not the Uber elite WKRs where every hunt is the hunt of a lifetime with their lives on the line. Most folks hunt the same animals in the same place at the same time of year. CDS, and all other “cheats”, can make a lot of sense for them (with due diligence).

For the price there are better overall options that Leupold and Vortex especially after their recent price increases.

I have one on my ultra. Have not ordered the custom turret even though I will never change from the current round and ballistics. I do use the dial turret it came with for distance adjustments - i like doing the calculations. Good field scope for field conditions.
