Leofoto 282CMX connection to MA-30L head

Just purchased my first tripod, went with the Leofoto SO-282CMX and MA-30L ball head. Plan to use this for mostly shooting but also glassing.

What is the preferred method to attach the ball head to the tripod? Just screw in the 3/8" stud on the tripod? I assume there is an adapter plate that would be more secure but wanted everyone's opinions.

Did you end up finding the best way to mount the MA 30 to that tripod? Looking to do the same thing

You just use the screw with some loctite or rockset. The larger size tripods that fit a leveling head have an adapter, but the 282 base plate isn’t big enough. No problems with it just screwed on.

The 3/8 stud is the only thing I have found so far. I reached out to Leofoto and they confirmed they do not have an adapter plate. RRS makes an adapter that may work, but I have not looked into it more.

For now I am just going the loctite with stud direction.
