Lens caps for a Swaro Z8i?

Any recommendations for lens caps for a Z8i 2-16x50?

I like MKM caps, but not sure the ocular cap would work very well on this one. I've used Swaro caps on a Z6 before, and while they were nice overall, it seemed like the magnets were pretty weak. IIRC, the springs were weak, too.

Tenebraex, maybe? Anything else I'm missing?

Considering it's use will be strictly on my backyard range or in my box blind, I'm sure the bikini caps would be fine, but I like flip-ups.

TIA!

I use neoprene covers too, when they're in a safe.

In my blind, I leave my rifle sticking out of the window. If it's snowing or raining, flip-ups are easier to open when needed.

But yeah, Swaro flip-ups pop open very easily.

I haven't found the Swaro flip covers to come off easily at all. My gripe with them is that the eyepiece cover flips to the side instead of up.

The Tenebraex are a good polymer, just snap rather than magnetic.

Flipping to the side doesn't bother me, since my rifle lays on its side in the window of my blind anyway. And maybe they're using stronger magnets & springs these days. It's been several years since I've used Swaro caps.

I'm wondering if the Tenebraex will fit on the ocular end right because of the illumination design. Almost makes me think that Swaro designed it that way so other caps wouldn't fit. Naw, they wouldn't do that!!

I have a very strong bias towards see-through scope caps, especially when hunting in the snow, or in any kind of heavy brush/timber, so it's taken some work to find options that fit well and have been reliable/durable.

Tenebraex has some good options for Swaros:

A much cheaper option, especially for scopes Tenebraex doesn't build for, has been these ones off amazon- much better than Butler Creek caps - much more precise and better fitting:

I have a few sets of Tenebraex, never had an issue with them. And I've had see thru caps, but never used them for their intended purpose, to say I've never taken a shot with them on.. The bikini caps that came with my Z8 are see thru.

I've gone the cheap cap route, although not with these. When I 1st discovered Monstrum caps, I bought a bunch, thinking they'd be as good as Vortex Defenders. They aren't. Just about every one has split.

In this case, my 1st look was MKM, but I don't think they'll work on the ocular end. If Tenebraex will work, that's probably the way I'll go. If I have to get the Swaros, I will. I do have some pretty small rare earth magnets I might be able to put in there, just to keep them from flopping open.

Oh, and back to the issue of the ocular opening to the side. I took this pic this afternoon. Different scope, obviously, but tis is how I set my rifle in the window. Normally I'd have the objective cap turned to the side as well.

I shoot both eyes open and I found it distracting, nothing to do with it's function laying on a rest.
