Leica- Ultravid vs Noctovid

Has anyone compared these two against each other? Specifically the 10x. Biggest take always? And is there enough difference to justify going with the higher priced Noctovids?

Noctivids are clearly better glass...but you pay for it. Just about the same as Swaro SLC's vs the EL's.

Ok I just spent a hour behind my HD+ 10x42 and Noctivid 10x42s and can honestly say with out sitting behind them on a tripod with the white cards and black letters I can’t tell the difference. There is a slight difference but I think it is more on the field of view than clarity. Ultravids feel smaller in the hand but the Noctivids feel better and the focus wheel might be more comfortable.Pm me and I will send you my number if you have any other questions.

Largely correct...there is only about a 3% performance difference and many people find it hard to discern the difference. About the same difference between the Ultravid HD and the HD+. The Nocto's also have the field flattener lenses which some people like.. but I personally dont see it doing anything for me.
