Do these have the same lenses as the HD Bs? Are they a HD lens? What’s the lens quality vs the .com models?

Leica took a tried and true entry level product, greatly improved it in laser, looks and ergonomics, AND dropped the price over 10%. -Germany says they didn’t change the glass from the old Rs at all, but internal sources feel they are improved, and after comparing, Germany thinks so too.

These are replacements to the old Rs, a $1599 price point bino -the entry level Geovid. They don’t have HD-B, COM, PRO glass or prisms. They are not, were not intended to be, nor will they ever be comparable to HD-B/COM/PRO level products.

These are an excellent combo binocular/rangefinder, however, these are in no way in the league of the upper Leica series models

Bummer! What about the sig 6K? Any thoughts on those vs the GPO? According to the specs the sig has a much better range but curious about the optical quality
Electronics, hands down, goes to the Sig. Optics, no question, goes to the GPO

That’s what I figured. I’m hoping the new geovids will give a bit of both. What was the glass in the old geovid Rs comparable to? As good as the Trinovid or a step down?
The Sig electronics will still be superior to the new Leica R but the Leica R will be optically superior to the 3 mentioned

I picked up the new 15x56 and they are amazing. I’ll take them all day everyday over swarovski 15x56 slcs and a stand alone rangefinder or a set of ranging 10x42s and swaro slcs. They are a little harder to hand hold, but it is doable. I’m also able to ditch my spotting scope in most situations. This is a weight savings of almost 4lbs. I have nothing but good to say! The new lazer is awesome, and still better than the zeiss victory rf minus the ballistics.
