I just have a pair of these and have an issue with the range finder. Sometimes it works fine, other times it doesn't. Most of the time I get dashes when trying to range objects. An example is - I have a barn 33 yards away its tan - most of the time it will never range the tan portion, sometimes I will range the white trim around it. It will always read the white door 18 yards away.
At first I thought it was the sun light during the day. I ruled that out by trying it at night and at dusk.
I've tried trees, rocks, buildings, posts, stumps. 90% of the time I get dashes.
I've replaced the battery and it still behaves the same way.
I've reached out to Leica twice this past week...still waiting on a reply
