kinda wide open question. The best brand for quiet and waterproof(like walking thru wet dew meadows on early mornings), or snake proof, that gets double duty service in the Southwest deserts on quail hunts, protecting from cacti thorns.

I've had great luck with the mid-tier Kings Camo. 3 seasons of solid use and no issues. Think they were around $80 retail and I found them on sale for $50ish.

Kings XPG for wet and snow.
Have a set of Turtleskin for snakes are noisy, offbrand double layer brushed cordura are much quieter and just as penetration proof judging by glochids and spikes from prickly pear.

Tough to beat turtle skin if you are looking for snake gaiters. They are expensive but last forever. Also very comfortable to wear.
