I have my mother in laws Lecia Televid 77 that needs to go in for service. Grandma at 91 is still living in her home, but we have used the scope the most these last 20 years and I'm the one responsible for it.

Focusing mechanism is malfunctioning.

I plan on contacting the New Jersey Lecia servicing center or what ever the operation is called. I have the contact info.

Any issues dealing with Lecia that I should be award of?

Should I be concerned about the age of the scope and availability of parts?

Do you think the repair would be $500---$1000----more?

Any other reputable places to send the scope for a fix?

This have been a fine scope for birding, wildlife, other uses. Other than this problem, I think the scope is in very good to excellent condition. I'd like to keep the scope going for many more decades.

There are likely better scopes out there but I don't want to drop the coin on a new one when this one could be fixed and keep on going.

Thanks for any feedback!
