Leaving bow strung

I have a Tbow 19” riser with Uukha gobi 45lb limbs. Heading to Alabama in the morning to hunt for the next week. How long can I leave my recurve strung and not damage the limbs?

Years. I have bows that I have not unstrung for years. No issues.

I will just add one caveat. This advice is for modern laminated bows, with fiberglass or carbon limbs. It also assumes its being stored in an appropriate way (not leaning in a corner or in a hot shed, etc)

Self bows and even some old fiberglass bows should likely be unstrung for storage.

Same here. I shoot daily and usually only relax the limbs when I change strings and retune

I keep mine hung by the string on two pegs and never break them down except to change strings

Yep same for me. Unless I’m flying outta state to hunt or changing strings they always stay strung.

Yeah I never unstring unless it needs to stay in a hot vehicle for some reason. I’ve taken it to work with me to shoot 3D in the evenings in the summer. Only time I ever take it apart.

I leave mine strung and lay it on a spare bed in between shooting sessions. When I’m not shooting regularly all my stick bows are unstrung and hung vertically with the weight supported from the grip in a display case.

My recurve has been strung for years and I have not had any problems. The only time I unstring it is to take it down for travel or replace the string.

I dont have a an ASL. But I would say if in doubt, call the boyer.

I usually unstring mine anyway, or at the very least it doesn't stay strung for more than a couple of days. My question was more out of curiosity. Thanks
