Leather Rubbing Noise When Walking

I have a new pair of Schnee's Timberline boots that I got this year. I've worn them a bunch to break them in and they fit great. Within the last month or so I have noticed a squeaking like noise, coming from (I assume) the ankle area where the boot bends up, when I am walking.

Had anyone dealt with this? Any remedies?

It's not extremely loud but when I'm walking in a quiet office I can hear it and it's annoying me.

when that starts happening i usually recondition and it clears it up. also make sure to add some cream/wax to your laces as well as sometimes it’s the lace just barely moving through an eye as your weight transfers.
