Latest's weekly bear "Attack" in Alaska.

I remember when Fish & Game said there were very few Brown Bears on the Kenai Peninsula. And that was why there needed to be zero Brown Bear hunting there. Then after repeated mauling's, and vehicles killing Brown Bears, They reluctantly agreed to do a survey. It took several years, and they concluded there was "Well" less then 400 total Brown Bears on the entire Kenai Peninsula. I think there are 400 in the general Hope/Sunrise, Alaska area alone.

These guys were in the Skilak Loop Wildlife Management Area and it is only opened to small game hunting with bow and arrow or falconry, and moose by permit only.

I stand corrected. I just read the question about brown bear hunting in the refuge in general, but forgot about skilak.
