Hey,I was wondering what everyone else was running for late season tree stand or static hunting boots. I was looking at these Irish setters if anyone has experience with these,or any Suggestions on other good boots?IMG_2912.png

If tree stand hunting/stationary, I would suggest a pair of boot blankets.

For WI gun season & after, I wear either a pair of 800gr Danners or my Baffin ice fishing boots, and with the Arctic shield boot blankets I almost never have cold feet (has to be brutal out before it’s an issue).

That way you have warm feet while sitting but lighter weight less clunky boots while walking. My feet always sweat too much if I wear super insulated boots, then my feet get cold regardless.

Same. I think they are arctic shield. Those and throw a couple hot hands in before I even leave and they are toasty when I get in the stand.

If by late season you mean cold weather Cabela's Inferno PAC boots are hard to beat for the price.

Great boots and I've walked alot of miles on them when needed.

light boots to walk in and icebreakers over them for the sit.....or change into mickey mouse boots....or something similar. Walking in wearing a boot that is warm enough to sit in very cold conditions will end badly....

Regular uninsulated boots for me, then boot suits go on when I get in the stand. They have pockets for handwarmer packs. I started messing around with really stretchy/heavy wool socks last year and pulling them on over the toes of my boots with a handwarmer in them. Worked really well and about a 1/4 the size of the boot suits or similar. Super insulated boots did nothing but make my feet sweat on the way in and freeze while in stand.

It’s crazy how well those boot blankets work with a moderately insulated hiking boot and a good pair of merino or alpaca socks. As above, warming with hot hands will help too

Depending on the walk in it can also be worth it to carry a pair of socks to swap at the stand, starting with dry really puts you ahead.

Also if you’re in a metal stand putting some heavy carpet or a piece of sleeping pad on the stand and keeping your boots off cold metal is an extra layer of insulation.
