Last night while out hunting I glassed a bull about 1.5-2 miles away and now I am trying to decide how to proceed. With family in town for the holiday today is off limits but I have the last 3 days of season to try and make something happen. My main question is during this time of year if I found a lone bull feeding in the evening should I expect him to stay in the area if not bumped? It is in a fairly remote area but there are a couple trails I could use to access it. Would it make sense to access it during the middle of the day and then think there is a reasonable chance of him staying in the same area? Basically I am a diehard archery hunter who has killed bulls during archery but due to my line of work I am trying to learn how to hunt elk with a rifle in the late season. I have never killed a bull with a rifle but feel like I am starting to get closer and just need to fine tune my approach. Happy Thanksgiving. Cheers!
