Last Minute Training

Baby born at the beginning of the year put me behind on my youngest dog.

I finished force fetch and polished delivery at the beginning of August and went into steadiness work. Giving room for mistakes (by me) and allowing for some days where my buddy just has a bad day, I should have him fully steady in the training field and proofed (I will Hunt him steady to shot and fall), approximately a 7 days before our grouse trip the first week of October.

Anyone else doing last minute training?

Update: birds on the ground for three training sessions now. First one, a couple small corrections. Last two, no corrections. Standing for multiple flushes, shots and fall.

Now I just want to give him enough reps to keep him honest the next couple weeks before our first trip for grouse this year.
