are deer and elk archery, thru sept 23, the last hunting seasons before colorado first rifle elk opens up on oct 13?

want to come out up to a week early to scout and get acclimated (nw colo), just want to know if there will be any actual hunting going on then. thanks!

Yup, muzzleloader ends Sept 16th.

No.
In some units there is Early Rifle Deer until Oct 2, Bear season goes until Sept 30, Moose season goes Oct 1-14.

You also have Antelope season which starts Oct 6'th and goes through the first weekend of Elk Rifle. In addition there are early season elk tags in the northwest corner of the state that start Oct 1'st, but those are premium units. If you are up in the National Forest in unit 4/5/441, etc then there shouldn't really be any big game hunting though.

i got em02101r, so 21, 22, 30, 31, 32. i did see moose season but not in these units. ditto for lope. hoping that no one but other scouters are in the woods the week leading up to elk first rifle.
