Unfortunately it was in 2013. My last year and bear camp in AK. Hard to get a tag herein MI, especially when I dont live in a bear zone.
Bears are my passion.

You can draw fairly often if you go for third season in the UP or even the earlier seasons west side of UP. You could probably draw every year in some cases.

I haven't hunted bear for a few years either. I've been doing other things. Transporter costs started pricing me out in Alaska. Plus I haven't drawn in the SE. Will likely get back to it though. I'm too busy bird hunting in the fall to hunt most big game seasons so that limits my options and bear and Alaska seasons in general tend to be good on my schedule
