So over on a thread on tall sized clothing the topic of larger sized boots and what people have found.

I wear a 11.5-12 in 4E-6E so my options are pretty limited.

Bates
For my hunting/muddy weather boots I wear some Bates side-zip GoreTex which are only available in 12-3E, but after a little break in are actually pretty comfortable. Only complaint is that there aren't any one-way drain vents so if you slip in a stream you are stuck with a wet boot.

New Balance:
My hiking boot for areas that I don't expect to be as muddy or wet are New Balance 1569 in 11.5-6E and they fit amazingly. They are GoreTex, but low rise so I don't like to wear them on wet days or trails with water.

Merrell:
Only max at 2E and they run a little wider than that but not by much. Sometimes I can get by with narrower shoes by upsizing, but these were uncomfortable when I did so.

I think my next boot will be either Prophet (5E max) or Belleville (4E max). Keen also makes a few models in 4E, so those may be worth giving a shot. Any fat footers out there with experience with any of these? Feel free to add any experiences you have had with larger sized boots/companies.

I also use size 12 4E.
I have been using WESCO boot company boots since early 70s. I had them make custom boots for me
Fit like a glove!!
