Large rifle magnum primer price

They are expensive these days. I usually pay $90 a brick but paid $100 plus hazmat just yesterday for some CCI mag primers.

I had what I thought was enough when they were $30 a brick. Now I wish I bought more. I didn't predict a pandemic or a war at the time. I should have known better after 2008.

You do know that the US is in a proxy war? That’s where most are going.
I can't imagine that we're sending more to Ukraine than we were using all through Iraq and Afghanistan over the years. And the companies have even said that they have expanded production levels since then too. So the supply should be greater than it ever has.

I traded a guy even up some surplus small pistol primers (he was in desperation mode) for some small rifle match primers. The price on the box of the SPP's was $11.99. He did not care how old they were.

The prices now are insane.

Not only that they are not using the same primers we are either.

If your patient you can save some money. Just ordered some from Powder valley for $99. After tax, shipping and hazmat, total was $144.23 shipped to South Louisiana. Not an extreme amount, but saved some money. Should be here wednesday.

I've been reloading about a year and the most frustrating thing is that I can find everything but LRP locally. That and the jug of trailboss I passed up at Basspro because I thought there would be more available when I got my 30-30.

Prices have been ridiculous the past 3 years. I haven’t seen any 215M since Covid. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

My local scheels has been stocked to the brim with LRM primers, prices are too high for me, probably won't come back down though.

Our local Scheels has primers too but prices are still high.

I don't know Texas Mike, those prices look pretty much in line with most on-line retailers. Plus, no hazmat! .09¢ to .15¢ per primer all in is pretty standard these days... unfortunately.

I haven’t had to buy any primers through all of this because I was well stocked prior to. So my lens is being able to buy Fed215 GMM primers for $40/1000.

Oh geez.... I have a few bricks with $36 - $40 price stickers on them....from 10+ years ago. 😆. I have a few odd trays of 100 counts with price stickers of $3 + change on them too. We'll never see that again.

Way into the second decade of bad reloading component availability. Doesn't sound like a market issue to me.
