Be nice if they’d start back offering 223 and 7-08 to the general public. Also be nice for them to start making 7 SAUM brass.

This is good news.

That said they are going to have a hard time competing with alpha, especially in combination with their reamers. Really makes for an easy button when it comes to dasher.

Iv got 3 dasher barrels ready to go. So more brass the better.

Is this the same as the 6GT brass that's coming out last year that hasn't come out yet?

I've just read some comparisons favoring lapua fireformed to alpha still so figured it'd be a little favorable. Great if lots of folks don't leave alpha and it's more available i guess?

I'm always excited to see Lapua add new cartridges they make cases for but on the flipside it's a little frustrating to see Lapua add new cartridges to their line up when they either can't keep up with their current line up or they've discontinued so many.

There late to the party. They should of did it years ago. I 'm gettting pretty good dasher brass fireforming lapua 6-br brass. But it can be in short supply sometimes, so be interesting to see how supply's hold up.

I’m not sure many will dump alpha with the popularity of their reamers. I’m curious what lapua came up with fir a spec on the brass, and wonder if it will be same dimensions as alpha or different.

I think most of alphas issues with the dasher are long over, seems most are going to apha now from lapua.

But you need a dasher.

I am in this camp. The alpha dasher reamer/brass combo has been perfect for me. Halfway through my second barrel now and 9X firing on a handful of the brass. I think it was Precision Rifle Blog that did an article about what brass the PRS was favoring and Alpha made up 67% of the total amount and 84% of dasher specifically. Don't see many guys switching, but options are always nice I guess.

Dasher is the easy button.

+1 for alpha brass. I’ve ran it mildly loaded in a lapua chamber and a bit faster in an alpha chamber. It’s been great in all situations for me and just doesn’t seem to fail or wear out. Plus it’s made in North America and the alpha guys support the shooting community here very well! Support those who support us.

And 7stw is coming
That will be great - it could be necked down for the long 6.5-300 wby, 6.5 STW, or up to 300 wby or even 300 H&H, and 8mm Rem.

The 7 STW is a great cartridge all by itself. I can remember the first magazine articles showcasing it like it was yesterday. :)

I have several buddies that run Peterson, some in dasher, some 6 creed. In both instances I’ve seen it performed great and I wouldn’t hesitate to run it in any of my rifles.

Dos anyone know how Peterson dasher brass performs?
I have heard Peterson has a little less capacity, and thicker necks. Some smiths have a specific reamer for Peterson dasher, kind of like alpha and lapua. I’m not sure on the body dimensions being any different, but I know the Peterson necks are thick, like most of their brass.

I’m sure lapua put some work into dimensions but strange that they would make something that’s not saami/cip.
