Have a opportunity to purchase a bunch of older Lake City 30-06 brass. Is this stuff desirable to shoot out of a modern bolt action? The price is right, but will it be more work to prep than it's worth? It is all once fired. Not positive, but I imagine it was fired out of a garand. (This is a assumption at this point,) I would be reloading for a Newer Winchester hunting rifle, with moa expectations. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Did the seller provide you with headstamps? Most LC brass has a crimped primer with some exceptions...... headstamps marked LC LR, are highly desirable and on par with Lapua or ADG brass and do not need the primer pocket swaged.

This is good to know. I'm in the same boat but already purchased the brass. It was a packaged deal.

Got the stuff today. It's NM stuff. It will be a project sorting through it. Some of it is a little beat up. I assume it was fired from a Girand. Got a deal on a bunch of components...I'll report back how good of a deal it was.
