okay..

i admit to wearing rubber boots more often than not. i got some Lacrosse rubber/neoprene boots years ago. the early ALPHAS. mine have a composite toe, since i bought them for a tunnel excavation i was engineering on. they kept me dry for years. the toes started to crack from the constant bending, but i patched them with ShoeGOO and took them home for yard work.

i wear them for spring turkey hunting.
i wear them to cross a wide stream pig hunting which gets me to areas nobody hunts since they hate wet feet. i swap boots on the other side and put on my hunting boots. i hide my rubber boots in the bushes to the return crossing.

they are really coming apart now. a year of bamboo digging is crushing them.

i need new boots. i dont need the composite work toe for sure. i will still wear them for work..engineering. if you havent heard, CA is soaked and falling into the ocean. :(

i am not sure i will buy camo ones, since they may show up at work. but they will go turkey hunting with me. i think plain brown would be nice. camo wouldnt offend my coworkers tho.

lacross or Muck?

I just bought the mucks, I got the Edgewater and they are nice. Rated from 25 -60 degrees I wore them during archery deer here. Nice boots and Tractor Supply had them at 20% off so...

I have had a pair of lacrosse rubbers for just over 5 years and they are still going strong. I got them in the bargain cave and plan on replacing them this year when I find some more in the bargain cave. I wear them almost daily in the winter up here since it's so wet
