Laces?

I have a pair of meindl boots and I love the laces in them..when I needed new laces, I just decided to use paracord because I heard good things, but I was immediately disappointed and ordered meindl brand replacements.

The ones on amazon are Barth, which are marketed by Meindl but not meindl brand, so I'm not sure if they are the same. The ones I have say meindl on the package.

They have a tiny bit of stretch to them and the outer fabric holds a knot really well.

Speed laces are the best to deal with on boots.

What are these, all I see is snowboarding reference under speed lace.

My asolo has flat laces and the metal retainers are pretty tight

Smooth laces and boot eyelets that enable you to pull all the laces up/tight at once.....mostly on military style boots.

Tie knots at the end of the laces so they do not go thru an eyelet and put your foot in and pull/tie.....you need long laces. Works on some civilian boots also, btw some solomons have an eyelet that captures the lace so you can do the top easier....usually the third eyelet down. Side zips can be nice also but mostly for taking off....all my shoes/boots have long laces with knots tied in the ends so I do not have to mess with the lace going thu an eyelet.

The Solomon capture eyelet is a real nice feature that all boots should have.

I think 550 would be my last choice unless I needed to get off the mountain using it for a lace. 550 stretches far too much when wet and that’s when I need my boots to hold the tension I tie them initially

Zap, my lighter pair of Asolo boots have that capture feature, the lace kind of snaps in, all boots should have it!

The top of the boots I need laces for have open hooks so no speed lace for me.
