I’m flying all my gear to Colorado for second rifle season and instead of checking a separate rifle case I’m going to stick it in an Eylar short case (stock and barreled action separated ) And put that in a duffel That way I only have to deal with 2 bags and the oversized bag charge is half of what a third checked bag is. Weight isn’t as big of an issue as I have a 70 pound limit per bag . The waypoint has more room and I have the 5500 and like it , but the Kodiak looks like a more robust bag. After getting all out gear soaked after a downpour hit halfway through setting up the tents last year I’d like something that was at least water resistant. Rifle case is 38” so options on other brands are limited to some degree just because of size
