Looking for pros and cons from ppl who have this pack. I’ve been looking at it for public land saddle hunting.

I have a 2300 that I use primarily as a whitetail stand pack and really like it.
1800 gets pretty tight if you're trying to fit warm outer layers inside with your snacks, hats, gloves, etc. If you're fine with strapping warm layers to the outside it'll be fine.
Have you seen the Encounter Divide 2800 that has the removable pockets? That's designed specifically for stand hunting and it shows. It's a newer model. If my 2300 ever blows out I'll upgrade.
I have the 2300. It’s a cool little pack with the dumbest waist belt ever made unless you are 32” or smaller waisted guy. The belt is plenty long with just enough hip belt padding length for your 17 year old daughter. It makes no sense for a hip belt to have the webbing for a 52” waist but the padding on the belt being so short. Just a pisspoor design on what could be the best day pack on the market.
I’ll take your word for how good it works for you. But, that’s not my experience. My buddy has a 34” waist. I have a 38” waist. He tried the pack on this week past loaded out for a day of saddle hunting. His thought mimicked mine.I've had the 1800 for quite a while and really like it. No complaints on straps, carrying capacity or the belt.
I'm a 34" waist and the belt works fine but your point is valid. Kuiu does not cater to large folks.
