Kuiu rain gear—new Torain waterproofing

Since the govt put the hammer on older effective waterproofing, I’ve wondered how the newer ones are working. Does anyone have any Kuiu rain gear from the last year or so with the new torain waterproofing? Is it as effective as their older stuff? Pros/cons? Thanks!
