Anyone use the Kuiu Polartec as their main insulation layer in the field? I got a couple of these from a member on here. Thinking about taking it for chasing elk over my Patagonia Micro Puff Coat. Thoughts? Love to hear some opinions of the polartec who have tested it out in the field.

Thanks.

Well Polartec fleece is Polartec fleece regardless of who makes the jacket. What weight fleece is it? I absolutely love my fleece stuff. I use a microfleece mock T over my base layer for the majority of the archery season. Then later when it gets colder I throw on a 300 weight fleece jacket. They're great for active hunting because they breathe well and I don't overheat like I would with down.

SHTF I bought this same Jacket, good value for 30$. I bought mine for a camp jacket but I love the way it fits and I could see this working its way into my pack. Probably more during rifle season. FYI if anyone is thinking about buying one of these order a size smaller than you normally would. They run really big.

did you think in softshell jacket like other solution? i preffer a good softshell, i know weight is little big but not to much
and work better like windstopper and water resistant.
