KUIU developing a new bag system reminds me that I haven't fully liked how I have adjusted my existing Pro Pack. I watched the video system like 10 times but still can't get the angles right. Anybody have a different video or reference?

Also, what is y'alls favorite rifle carrier with a KUIU pack? Using the FHF system now and not sold on it.

I have use the KUIU rifle carrier with the buckle on the stock bucket. It is a solid setup. I just looked and KUIU does not have it listed anymore so it must be discontinued.

Here is a video of how it worked.

Just checked the video and noticed something that they did NOT highlight. I've found that the straps that connect the pack to sides of the hip belt (the larger 1" buckles instead of the 3/4" ones) really influence the ability of the hip belt to fit correctly. Loosen those straps up, then fit the hip belt. I don't even mess with the shoulder stuff until I have the hip belt right. I also have some extra foam stuffed in the lumbar pad there to better fit me.

Once the hip belt is fitted, I find that the rest of the adjustment procedure they show works pretty well.

There is an adjustment on the shoulder strap where the load lifter connects. Most packs have this but the Kuiu doesn’t have enough adjustment there for my build. That’s probably the biggest shortcoming of comfort for me.

I'm looking at using the Obi link system to attach the top (barrel) to my pack instead of a strap around the barrel.
