kuiu nuyarn merino

Wow didnt realize the price on the kuiu just as good as a first light price. I hunt in the snowy range and i wanted to get a camo base layer to break up my outline when i ditch the soft shell should i go with a lightweight or mid weight. Im warm blooded

Just got the 125 ss today. Feels good cant wait to give it the heat test..thin as it is and loose weave it should be just right. Ordered two more in the xl my normal kuiu size, but this nuyarn seems to fit a bit looser all the way around..cs said the material may shrink some? Dont know how as dont think they call for a tumble dry, but maybe just air dry will pucker it up some..

Have not tried the nuyarn but I know one of my old Kuiu shirts went from a XXL to my girlfriends favorite shirt. She's about 5'4" 105lbs. So dry at your own risk.

end of july i ordered a 125 nuyarn in xl verde and it was backorderd. right after i ordered i called them to see if they had any idea about the backorder and they said they would be in stock at the end of august. Well august came and went and so i called them again last week. they said the solids would be in soon in the next couple weeks but verde and vias they had no idea. frustrating.

I like the old KUIU merino it seemed to be pretty close to my First Lite and Sitka Merino; but am leery of blended merinos. The point of merino is all the benefits it brings over nylon. I'll stick with true merino because I know it works. Just my 2 cents...

I just odered some last saturday morning. They didnt mention backordered on the website but by monday it had changed to backordered and then sent me and email. I emailed them asking for a date and they said oct 1 but they didnt know how big of a shipment and that they didnt know how far i was down on the list. I hope im not far because i told them id wait. I can use my underarmor for now. Just kind of disappointed a hunting company wasnt read for the increased demand in the few months leading to hunting season. They had to know it was coming.

I figured on hunting season too, which is why I ordered mine a month ago and got them well in time. I'd say the increased, guess maybe not enough.

How has these base layers held up for you guys? Did you find them to be anymore durable? Piling, thining, etc?

Im interested in the zip off 210 bottoms.

My KUIU merino layers have held up quite well. I'll tell you up front I'm not a guy who abuses my gear and clothing, so I typically get longevity out of anything I buy and use.

I have said before that I'm no fan of the zip-off bottoms. My KUIU merino is still the original stuff which was/is full length. When it's time to replace it I already know it will be Ibex.
