Has anyone used both and can compare them?

I need a larger pack to complement my Icon Pro 3200 I'm using for day and 2-3 day hunts (which I'm very happy with so far) and I am curious if anyone that has used both could give some feedback.

Thanks

My buddy has he icon pro 7200 and I have a couple ultra 6k on icon pro frames. He wishes he would have gotten the lighter bag for what he does.

Nice. So no downsides to the ultra 6000 that annoy you?

How do you guys hunt that the lb or so bothers him?

The 7200 isn't bad. Just more pockety and heavier compared to the Ultra 6k
Yeah, that makes sense. I wish the 6000 had stuff it pockets on both sides instead of one and the exterior bottom compression straps the Icon has, as I use those features on my 3200... But the 7200 and its million pockets seems like its a lot of overkill and will get annoying.

Thanks for the feedback.

Im gonna pull the trigger today or tomorrow, just wondering if anyone else had an opinion. Kuiu also said they think for 7 day hunts, the 5200 would be fine, but I dont think there is a downside to more space.

I know Kuiu packs are not particularly popular here, but any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think that the 5200 would be fine for early season 7 day hunts but that the 7200 would be better. I run my sleeping gear or food in the meat shelf in mine and that will allow you to haul more stuff. I like the Ultra bags too for early season but when it gets cold they get very loud in my opinion and that drives me crazy. I am a pocket guy and like all of the pockets in the PRO bags vs the simple design of the Ultra bag but I think that is more of a personal preference than anything else. I will take the functionality and much quieter (although by no means silent) Pro bag every time and deal with the weight penalty.

Just to update this for future reference...

I did some research and listened to the suggestions here and then reached out to Rosinbag, a member here known for bag reviews and testing of Kuiu and Kifaru equipment. He highly recommended the Icon Pro series bags vs the Ultra, and after weighing the add ons I would probably have to get for the Ultra 6000 for pack-ability (plus a hydration holder) vs the pockets on the Icon Pro, plus the 500D ripstop vs the 330D HT, I decided the Icon Pro was the right choice. I went for a 7200 because you can never increase space and the cost and weight differences between the 7200 and the 5200 are not that big.

Thanks for all the replies and help.
