Kuiu HD Mud Boots - any feedback by chance?

I just got an email from Kuiu about their new mud boots. I go through a lot of boots chasing dogs and am wondering if anyone has any feedback on these before I drop 2 hundy on a pair?

I'm a big fan of their Attack pants and shorts, but I haven't tried any shoe offerings yet.

I just don't see how they will out-perform your regular ole rubber boots. My Irish Setters have been perfect. I get leery when a company gets a little out of their lane. But who knows.......

I can only give my own impression of that e-mail (I got it to)... you're paying $100 for the boots and $100 for them to have a Kuiu camo pattern on them. YMMV but I'm sticking with the tried and true LaCrosse.

Look similar to the Canadian Tire's Huntshield insulated camo rubber boots which I really like. Bought mine on sale for $120 Canadian $. I like the fit a lot better than Muck boots for hiking around.

Being it that the boots just came out, I can't imagine there's much, if any, feedback on them. Unless someone that tested them shows up...

The price is essentially the same as the regular price of Lacrosse Alphaburly. ?

I like them.
I just bought a new pair of lacrosse aerohead sports which were similar in price.
I see a couple of points where there is the possibility of separation and leaking, but we’ll see.
Hopefully my new pair of boots last as long as my last pair, and that should give the Kuiu pair enough time to see how they do.
If they’re good I may get a pair when I need a new pair.

You can count on them breaking down and leaking, especially if you do much walking at all. Both mine and my wife's are doing the same thing. Really disappointing because I love the comfort of the boot but pretty upsetting to pay so much money for something that won't last two years of bowhunting.

Very disappointing to hear that.
Well I guess that the was a reason that they came out after I bought the pair I did this year.
Thank you for your response

Thank you for the feedback. Did you happen to contact them about the problems? I'd be interested in how they handle it.

Are you talking about the Kuiu or LaCrosse. Kuiu hasn’t even been out for a winter yet.

The LaCrosse AeroHead Sport Boots will break down where the neoprene meets the rubber bottom, just above the ankle. I truly love the comfort, but I am so very disappointed in durability. I've been looking at the GumLeaf Royal Zip, but $400 dollars is a tough pill to swallow. I'll try the Kuiu mud boot instead, but I'm concerned because I haven't had any rubber/neoprene boots (Lacross or Muck) last more than 2-3 seasons.

Unfortunately I thought you were speaking about the Kuiu boots not being durable.
I have just bought a pair of the Aerohead sports and I’m not very thrilled to hear about their lack of durability.
It’s true I hate to spend that much for only a year or two of usage.
Well, I guess we’ll see what happens

Just an FYI and not to take away from this thread, but I have a pair of aeroheads going on 8 seasons and they are still holding up. Not sure if the quality in manufacturing is going down, but wanted to give you my experience.

Are they the Aerohead Sports or the original aeroheads?
I have a pair of the original aeroheads and the heels are wearing out from the inside.
I wish they still made them, but they’ve gone to the sport model which is what I’ve just recently purchased.
We’ll see I suppose….
